Ethically made in London

We make things differently at Aloma. Every piece is produced in-house, at our own small factory in London, not outsourced, not assembled from parts made elsewhere. One roof, one team, and a lot of attention to detail.

We're a Living Wage Employer. That's not a footnote for us, it's part of how we decided to build this.

We work on a pre-order and small-batch model, which just means we make what we know will sell, not stock we're hoping shifts. Less waste, less overproduction, and a fabric mix that leans heavily on deadstock, recycled, and independently certified sustainable materials. Our mainline fabrics are usually knitted and naturally dyed here in the UK too, which keeps things close to home, good for the local suppliers we work with, and good for the emissions we're not creating by shipping fabric halfway across the world.

Producing locally keeps our footprint small to begin with, and we're working toward offsetting the rest, the goal is to get to climate-positive, not just less-bad.

That same thinking carries into packaging. Our boxes are cardboard, made to be kept and reused rather than binned, and everything else is recycled material with plastic kept out wherever we can manage it. The one exception right now is a protective plastic sleeve we sometimes use to keep parcels dry in transit, we're not happy with it either, and a better alternative is on the way.

Conscious design isn't a campaign for us. It's just how we work. 🤍
